An steady scoring week with 14. The big question is with how hard this TOTW was to predict, could we be in line for a good or bad TOTW ahead?

TOTW17 Score – 14/23

GOALKEEPER

Thomas Strakhosa – GK – OVR 82 Strakhosa put in an impressive performance with 4 saves a clean sheet and a 7 from Gazzetta which may do enough for a SIF.

DEFENDERS

German Pezzella – CB – OVR 79 Gazzetta gave Pezzella an average match rating of 6.5, while Criscito got in on the same it may not be enough. However, with him scoring the only goal on the game in Fiorentina’s 1-0 win, I simply can’t ignore him with the limited options.

Azpilicueta – LB – OVR 84 The defensive options were few and far between this week and thus there is always likely to be a surprise or two. Azpi is one of these with 1 assist, goal line clearance and a clean sheet in their win, while the card won’t appeal to many it is hard to ignore.

Lucas Digne – LB – OVR 83 The Everton LB got the crucial assist to seal a 1-0 win for Everton against Brighton and as a result feel he has done enough to get in the TOTW for a SIF.

MIDFIELDERS

Marcus Rashford – LM – OVR 83 There are two ways of going about the Manchester United win following their 4-0 win over Norwich and despite the temptation to go the niche route of Mata who picked up two assists I have opted for the popular decision of Rashford, who scored two of the four goals.

Bruno Fernandes – CAM – OVR 85 I’m surprised that Fernandes is yet to pick up an IF this year when you consider how much he does for the side each week. The Portuguese midfielder scored another two this week during Lisbon’s 3-1 away win which should be enough for his inclusion.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – CAM – OVR 81 A SIF Doucoure could be inbound after a goal and an assist in Watford’s 3-0 win as they continue their impressive form as of late.

Riyad Mahrez – RW – OVR 84 With Aguero picking up the IF for his single goal against Sheffield United we could see him snubbed despite scoring a hat trick. Another option with a strong possibility of making the side in Mahrez though after he scored twice and assisted another in City’s 6-1 demolition of Aston Villa.

FORWARDS

Fabio Quagliarella – ST – OVR 83 His latest performance saw him score twice for Sampdoria in their 5-1 home win over Brescia bagging a 7.5 on Gazzetta but be wary of Jankto for 1 goal and 2 assists from same game but got a 7.

Sergio Aguero – ST – OVR 89 Normally I would ignore Aguero but with the Argentine breaking two records, both the most Premier League hat tricks and the highest overseas goalscorer, I expect him to make the cut as an record breaking item if not he may be released separately from the TOTW. As previously mentioned City beat Villa 6-1 and Aguero scored three and assisted another in that match.

Omar Al Soma – ST – OVR 78 A SIF Al Soma could be upon us after he bagged two goals, while other big forwards may happen but due to timing and so forth they may not happen so a SIF Al Soma may just arrive.

SUBSTITUTES

Alfred Gomis – GK – OVR 75 The Senegal stopper claiming a 7/10, especially after you consider that he was crucial in Dijon’s clean sheet to hold onto their 1-0 scoreline at home to Lille, making six saves in total.

Andre Almeida – RB – OVR 81 The RB scored one of their two goals in a 2-1 win over Aves with his late winner separating the two sides.

Rodrigo Javier De Paul – CM – OVR 78 De Paul looks set to pick up an IF impressive 7.5 from Gazzetta for his goal.

Angel Mena – RM – OVR 76 With the Mexican league rejoining the action I fully expect EA to force at least one player into their side. Thankfully that option is seemingly a straight forward one with Mena scoring twice from RM in a 3-1 home win for Club Leon only problem is the 2 goals were penalties.

Maxwell Cornet – LW – OVR 76  Cornet played a large role in the comeback scoring once and assisting the other and a 7/10 which we think is high enough rating for an inclusion.

Youssef El Arabi – ST – OVR 77 A second IF looks set to go the way of Olympiakos’s striker El Arabi after bagging a hat-trick sealing his spot.

Paulinho – ST – OVR 77 The Braga forward bagged two goals to seal his spot.

RESERVES

Amir Abedzadeh – GK – OVR 72 We could see a 3rd GK feature and looks set to be Abedzadeh. The Iranian keeper made a total of eight saves to keep his clean sheet during a 1-0 win. Earning an 8 too for his performance which should do enough.

Diego Castro – CAM – OVR 76 Castro seems to feature in predictions most weeks just now and is a form player in Australia, he bagged another 2 assists and with how impressive he has been, he is the definition of a form player and should get in at last.

Gaetan Charbonnier – ST – OVR 75 Charbonnier scored two goals and an assist going his way. L’equipe awarded the performance with an 8/10 making him an easy selection.

Adrian Grbic – ST – OVR 68 Part of the Hat-trick Grbic looks set for an IF.

Gabadhino Mhango – ST – OVR 62 This is a tricky one as Mhango scored a hat-trick last tuesday but with lack of options he has a chance unless they give the IF to Castro from the weekend game for 2 goals.
